The Synod of the Mid-Atlantic offers grants and designated funds to support leadership development, congregational vitality, innovative ministry, and mission across our region. Each month, we highlight one fund to help churches and leaders better understand—and access—these resources.

Presbytery Initiatives fund
The Presbytery Initiatives Committee, former the Shared Ministries Program, will accept applications from presbyteries and congregations for specific projects. The project must be endorsed by two presbyteries sharing the work of the mission project. Deadlines are February 1st and August 1st of each year. Contact: Presbytery Initiative Committee through the Synod Office.

The 2026 Men’s Summit of the Presbyterian Men of the Mid-Atlantic will be held this summer at beautiful Massanetta Springs, near Harrisonburg, Virginia.
​
This annual gathering brings together men of all ages for a weekend of inspiring speakers, uplifting worship and music, meaningful small-group conversations, and time for recreation and fellowship in the scenic Shenandoah Valley. Together, participants explore how to share the love of Christ, strengthen the church, and serve their communities.

The Synod of the Mid-Atlantic invites Presbyteries and congregations to encourage men to attend this exciting event, with a special emphasis on welcoming and engaging young adults.
